The bulbous downtube of the iLYNX+ ENDURO 9.8 has become a signature trait of the Spanish brand. There's no deeper meaning behind it.
As a component giant, Shimano is mostly known for its dominant position in bicycle gears. But with the EP801, the Japanese are clearly showing that they can look beyond their own plate too. Even nasty steep sections are effortlessly climbed by the motor. The Shimano EP801 conveys a riding feeling. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the iLYNX+ ENDURO 9.8 , because of its low range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the iLYNX+ ENDURO 9.8 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (9000) .

A good chassis sits in rugged terrain and generates plenty of traction. That's exactly what the good Fox chassis in the iLYNX+ ENDURO 9.8 hits. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. When it comes to the brakes, BH reaches for the top shelf and instals premium brakes with four pistons and large brake rotors from Shimano. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. When it comes to the geometry, BH does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The deep bottom bracket also provides excellent cornering and thus contributes to the good handling. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward. It's no use beating around the bush: the geometry of BH doesn't suit our taste. Competitors are closer to the cutting edge here. Of course, a low bottom bracket also has its downside. In technical uphills, the pedal can sometimes touch the ground here. However, we think: This is manageable.

Conclusion

Expirience with the BH iLYNX+ ENDURO 9.8

The developers of BH have created a solid all-rounder with the iLYNX+ ENDURO 9.8. Even though the E-Mountainbike reveals a weak flank with a weak range and an average motor, it remains thanks to a very good brake system and a good chassis:Genetiv a widely applicable vehicle.
