GASGAS relies on an attached battery for its most affordable e-mountain bike. Nevertheless, the G Cross Country 1.0 does not look too clunky.
At steep sections, the somewhat weak Yamaha motor requires a lot of initiative from the biker. The Yamaha PW-CE gives off a natural riding feeling. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the G Cross Country 1.0 , because of its low range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the GASGAS G Cross Country 1.0 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (2000) .

When the trail gets rougher, however, the comparatively poor SR Suntour suspension fork can quickly put the brakes on the downhill fun. At the brakes, GASGAS reaches for the bottom of the Clarks shelf and instals simple brakes with two pistons and small 18 brake rotors. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. If the Meta's chainstay length is less than 445, the short chainstay and, if the Reach's Relative Rating is less than 3, the relatively short reach characterise the GASGAS as a playful, agile bike. This makes it easy to navigate through winding trails. Small wheels are becoming rare, but with the G Cross Country 1.0 the 27.5 wheels pay off with a playful riding experience. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. On the scale, the G Cross Country 1.0 makes a good figure with 21,9 kg. Most Einsteiger-Bikes are significantly heavier.

Conclusion

Expirience with the GASGAS G Cross Country 1.0

No doubt, the G Cross Country 1.0 makes its older competitors look like old news. Nevertheless, as a solid climber it still has some aces up its sleeve to convince bikers who prefer to go uphill.
