The THEOS F90 SH undoubtedly sports an extravagant look. The only question remains: What's lurking behind the Polish design once you hit the trails?
Shimano has become the biggest component manufacturer for bicycles thanks to its gear, pedal and brake components. It's clear that the Japanese want to shape the E-Bike trend from this dominant market position. Even gnarly inclines the Shimano motor easily climbs up well Even though the EP8 doesn't reach the performance of a Bosch CX Motor at maximum output, for example.. The Shimano EP8 provides a well-rounded riding experience with a harmonious power delivery. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Merida eONE-FORTY 700 (EP801) in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: () .

No matter how tricky the ground may be, the outstanding Fox chassis brings calmness and provides a lot of control. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. Whoever wants to ride fast, needs good brakes. The Shimano brakes are equipped with four pistons and 2 millimeter rotors. That way, the premium brakes decelerate more than adequately. The shifting and the rest of the components are always in the shadow of the engine when it comes to electric mountain bikes. Nevertheless, Kellys doesn't skimp here and instals very good components. When it comes to the geometry, Kellys does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated.
