Orange CHARGER S Review

In the automotive and motorcycle world, Japan has always had a reputation for being a breeding ground for excellent engines. Shimano is doing its utmost to live up to this reputation in the e-bike world with the EP801 engine. Even nasty steep sections are effortlessly climbed by the motor. The Shimano EP801 conveys a riding feeling. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

Rough descents take away some of the fear thanks to the average chassis. Especially on root-strewn trails, the low-quality chassis puts the rider in front of greater challenges than necessary. At the brakes, Orange instals upper class brakes with four pistons and 2 millimeter rotors from SRAM. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. The reach - or rather the main frame - of the Oranges is long. This puts the CHARGER S right on trend. The remaining values from the geometry table also orientate this bike according to the zeitgeist and leave a really thought-through impression.
