The development of the R.X275 PRO was mercilessly subordinated to one goal: The absolute lightweight construction. The filigree frame and the engine concept fit perfectly into the current trend around the topic light E-MTB.
The gentle power delivery is a clear character of the HPR 50. With 50 Nm torque, the support on the hill is rather moderate. The very well-rounded motor control of the HPR 50 shapes the riding feel of the R.X275 PRO. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly. The battery is securely attached to the down tube and cannot be removed for charging or storage.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the R.X275 PRO in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (9000) .

The suspension travel at the fork qualifies the R.X275 PRO for only touring even in alpine terrain. In this area of use, the Fox chassis works quite well. Bad brakes reduce the riding pleasure. Fortunately, this is not the case with the R.X275 PRO. With their four pistons the Shimano brake brakes good. The shifting and the rest of the components are always in the shadow of the engine when it comes to electric mountain bikes. Nevertheless, Rotwild doesn't skimp here and instals very good components. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward. Overall, the Rotwild developers have done a great job with a god geometry. An e-mountain bike is most fun when it can be ridden on a single track like a bike without a motor. The combination of good weight and very pleasant geometry give the R.X275 PRO the same natural and nimble handling as you know from non-motorised mountain bikes. Really only a few manufacturers manage to get this right.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Rotwild R.X275 PRO

Especially when gravity pulls both man and machine down, the R.X275 PRO really comes to life. With an extremely good handling, a good chassis and a good brake system, the Rotwild is a real trail rocket.
