The eXP 9019 is a hardtail but boasts at least 120 mm of travel on the fork. This keeps it game for some light trail riding.
Shimano motors remain at the top of the engine popularity alongside Bosch motors. No wonder, as evidenced by EP8. The Shimano motor takes away the fear of even the steepest ramps. The combination of a natural riding feeling and a gentle power delivery characterises the Shimano EP8. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the eXP 9019 with only an average range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the eXP 9019 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (4000) .

Rough descents take the good Rock Shox fork brand its course, though not with the calmness of a top-end fork. In descending situations, the Shimano brakes require a lot of hand strength or, optionally, courage from the rider. With four pistons and small 18 brake rotors, they only brake poorly. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Superior uses good equipment. When it comes to the geometry, Superior does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. Overall, the Superior developers have done a great job with a god geometry.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Superior eXP 9019

For tours, the eXP 9019 with a very good geometry, a good motor and a good fork is well equipped. Only with a simple brake system and a mediocre range you have to look away.
