With 180 mm travel, the E-180 S is designed for the roughest of terrains.
The Performance Line CX from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. The Bosch motor climbs steep ramps effortlessly. The very natural riding feeling combines the Bosch Performance Line CX with a dynamic power delivery. Achieving such a perfect balance between natural support and power is something few other engines can do. Whoever likes to go on long rides will be pleased with the very good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the E-180 S in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (9000) .

Solid endurance qualities are shown by the chassis of medium quality. On rough descents, the moderate chassis limits you and demands a more precise line choice than bikes with better chassis. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. At the brakes, Whyte instals upper class brakes with four pistons and large brake rotors from SRAM. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. Due to the short chainstays and the shallow seat angle , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting. The view of the weight of 26,4 kg reveals: There are lighter Enduros.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Whyte E-180 S

The E-180 S isnt`t a specialist on the trail. Despite an average chassis and a mediocre groupset, it remains thanks to a very strong range, a good motor and a good brake system a solid all-rounder with a wide range of use.
