With 180 mm of travel at the fork, the Sonic EVO EN 1 falls into the shred-machine category. To accommodate the large damper with reservoir in the Sonic EVO EN 1, Bulls relies on a rear suspension with horizontal damper. Particularly noteworthy on this bike is also the integrated seatpost.
The Performance Line CX from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. Even angriest ramps the Bosch motor easily climbs up well. The Bosch Performance Line CX provides a very natural riding experience with a progressive power delivery. This great combination mixed with lots of power, is something only a few other motors at Bosch's level can achieve. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the Sonic EVO EN 1 with only an average range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Bulls Sonic EVO EN 1 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (6000) .

The good SR Suntour chassis absorbs even larger roots with the calmness of a Buddhist monk. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. Whoever wants to ride fast, needs good brakes. The Shimano brakes are equipped with four pistons and 2 millimeter rotors. That way, the premium brakes decelerate more than adequately. For an Enduro , the Schwalbe tires with a width of #reifen_inch_breite inches are relatively narrow. In our opinion, Bulls could have put on wider tires. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The deep bottom bracket also provides excellent cornering and thus contributes to the good handling. Due to the short chainstays , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting. We love deep bottom brackets, as long as it's going downhill. Uphill you need to be aware that the crank can sometimes hit the ground.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Bulls Sonic EVO EN 1

The Sonic EVO EN 1 isnt`t a specialist on the trail. Despite a mediocre groupset and a mediocre range, it remains thanks to a very good brake system, a good motor and a good chassis a solid all-rounder with a wide range of use. Check the geometry table carefully before buying: The Sonic EVO EN 1 sizing runs big.
