The hole in the top tube of the MACINA KAPOHO PRO is not only a design highlight, but can also be used as a storage compartment for a spare tube. However, it is even better suited as a handle for carrying passages on the trail or the way through the stairwell after a long bike tour.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. Also seemingly hopeless inclines the Bosch motor easily climbs up well. The Bosch Performance Line CX provides a very well-rounded riding experience with a dynamic power delivery. This great combination mixed with lots of power, is something only a few other motors at Bosch's level can achieve. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the MACINA KAPOHO PRO with only an average range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the KTM MACINA KAPOHO PRO in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (6000) .

Rough descents take away some of the fear thanks to the average chassis. Especially for heavy riders, the KTM brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. When it comes to the geometry, KTM does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. It's no use beating around the bush: the geometry of KTM doesn't suit our taste. Competitors are closer to the cutting edge here.

Conclusion

Expirience with the KTM MACINA KAPOHO PRO

The MACINA KAPOHO PRO is a great climber. With , long tours in the on extremely demanding single trails are enjoyable. However, there is also a bitter pill to swallow with an average groupset and a mediocre range.
