The BESV brand belongs to the parent company Drafon, which is known for the production of e-bike batteries. The TRS 1.3 is an attempt to also gain a foothold as a complete bike manufacturer.
As a component giant, Shimano is mostly known for its dominant position in bicycle gears. But with the EP8, the Japanese are clearly showing that they can look beyond their own plate too. The well-rounded motor control and the harmonious power output characterise the character of the Shimano motor. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the BESV TRS 1.3 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (5000) .

As the hits get faster and harder the average chassis limits the downhill fun. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. At the brakes, BESV middle class four pistons brakes by Shimano are used. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, BESV uses average parts. On winding trails, the playful handling comes to the fore, as the bike masters even the fastest direction changes with the short wheelbase playfully. Small wheels are becoming rare, but with the TRS 1.3 the 27.5 wheels pay off with a playful riding experience. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling.

Conclusion

Expirience with the BESV TRS 1.3

The TRS 1.3 isnt`t a specialist on the trail. Despite a poor chassis and a mediocre brake system, it remains a solid all-rounder with a wide range of use. Be careful when choosing the size: The Aluminium frame sizing runs small.
