The Spanish manufacturer BH stands out as one of the very few players in the industry by setting themselves apart significantly through the design of their bikes. And the ATOM LYNX 8.1 is no exception. But the design also offers a technical feature. The battery can be removed through the top tube.
At steep sections, the somewhat weak BH motor requires a lot of initiative from the biker. The BH 1E-36V gives off a digital riding feeling. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the BH ATOM LYNX 8.1 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (3000) .

The chassis unfortunately isn't great. Riders might lack comfort on rough terrain. The mid-range brakes from Shimano do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. Shifting and components still leave room for improvement. Other providers dig deeper into their pockets for these assemblies. When it comes to the geometry, BH does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar.

Conclusion

Expirience with the BH ATOM LYNX 8.1

Even though the ATOM LYNX 8.1 is not a top of the class, it still has a clear character. Despite a poor chassis and a weak groupset, it remains a solid downhill rider. So BH appeals mainly to single trail lovers. Be careful when choosing the size: The Aluminium frame sizing runs small.
