BH iLYNX+ SL TRAIL CARBON 8.5 Review

In the automotive and motorcycle world, Japan has always had a reputation for being a breeding ground for excellent engines. Shimano is doing its utmost to live up to this reputation in the e-bike world with the EP81 engine. The well-rounded motor control and the harmonious power output characterise the character of the Shimano motor. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

Even the most treacherous downhill runs are effortlessly handled by the high-end Fox chassis. When it comes to the brakes, BH reaches for the top shelf and instals premium brakes with four pistons and large brake rotors from Shimano. The components and the gears are less in the spotlight with an EMTB than with bikes without motor. Nevertheless, when we take a look we find out that here, good components are always used. When it comes to the geometry, BH does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability.
