BH ILYNX TRAIL 8.0 Review

At steep sections, the somewhat weak BH motor requires a lot of initiative from the rider. The BH 2EXMAG gives off a digital riding feeling. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

On rough terrain, the ILYNX TRAIL 8.0 with its mediocre Rock Shox chassis lacks bit of control. Especially for heavy riders, the BH brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. Shifting and components still leave room for improvement. Other providers dig deeper into their pockets for these assemblies. When it comes to the geometry, BH does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. Due to the short chainstays and the shallow seat angle , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting.
