Hardly any e-mountain bike with 150 mm of travel comes across more filigree than the ILYNX TRAIL 8.1. The integrated seat clamp and the cable routing through the headset fit perfectly into the minimalist design.
At steep sections, the somewhat weak BH motor requires a lot of initiative from the rider. The BH 2EXMAG gives off a digital riding feeling. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the ILYNX TRAIL 8.1 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (5000) .

The Fox chassis provides safety and traction, even when the trail gets rougher. However, it comes to its limit at high speed. At the brakes, BH middle class four pistons brakes by Shimano are used. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, BH uses average parts. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward.

Conclusion

Expirience with the BH ILYNX TRAIL 8.1

Friends of gravity should jot down the ILYNX TRAIL 8.1. With a top-notch handling, the BH is a real trail rocket. But a middle ground chassis and a mediocre brake system are of course points of criticism that one should be aware of before purchasing.
