BH iLYNX TRAIL 8.2 Review

The BHZ BHZ, 65Nm is not one of the powerhouses on the market. The somewhat low torque engine could use a bit more support, especially on steep climbs. The motor control of BHZ conveys a well-rounded riding experience. The harmonious power delivery is an ace up the sleeve of the BHZ, 65Nm. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

The Fox chassis provides safety and traction, even when the trail gets rougher. However, it comes to its limit at high speed. Especially for heavy riders, the BH brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. For additional points in downhill handling, the low bottom bracket integrates the rider well into the bike and pulls the centre of gravity down. Of course, a low bottom bracket also has its downside. In technical uphills, the pedal can sometimes touch the ground here. However, we think: This is manageable. With its 22,43 kg, the iLYNX TRAIL 8.2 is one of the lighter E-bikes. The competition is often significantly heavier.
