Hardly any e-mountain bike with 150 mm of travel comes across more filigree than the ILYNX TRAIL 8.2. The integrated seat clamp and the cable routing through the headset fit perfectly into the minimalist design.
At steep sections, the somewhat weak BH motor requires a lot of initiative from the rider. The BH 2EXMAG gives off a rough riding feeling. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the BH ILYNX TRAIL 8.2 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (5000) .

The Fox chassis provides safety and traction, even when the trail gets rougher. However, it comes to its limit at high speed. The mid-range brakes from SRAM do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. Due to the short chainstays and the shallow seat angle , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting.

Conclusion

Expirience with the BH ILYNX TRAIL 8.2

Overall, a top-notch handling speak a clear language. The ILYNX TRAIL 8.2 is a good bike with a high fun factor for downhill rides. Only an average chassis and a mediocre brake system mar the overall picture.
