BH ILYNX TRAIL CARBON 8.7 Review

At steep sections, the somewhat weak BH motor requires a lot of initiative from the biker. The BH 2EXMAG gives off a rough riding feeling. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

Even nasty descents get smoothened by the good Fox chassis. With its four pistons and larger brake rotors the Shimano braking system decelerates excellently. This allows you to maintain control over your own pace even in the steepest descents. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. When it comes to the geometry, BH does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward.
