The bulbous downtube of the XTEP LYNX CARBON PRO 8.7 is undoubtedly eye-catching. A segmental battery is hidden inside, which can be removed upwards from the top tube. The bottle cage nestles into the frame triangle just above the motor. The integrated saddle clamp gives the independent design its final touch. With the XTEP LYNX CARBON PRO 8.7, the Spaniards from BH once again show their eye for design.
In the automotive and motorcycle world, Japan has always had a reputation for being a breeding ground for excellent engines. Shimano is doing its utmost to live up to this reputation in the e-bike world with the EP8 engine. The well-rounded motor control and the harmonious power output characterise the character of the Shimano motor. Thanks to the good range, longer tours with the XTEP LYNX CARBON PRO 8.7 are no problem.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the XTEP LYNX CARBON PRO 8.7 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (7000) .

The Fox chassis provides safety and traction, even when the trail gets rougher. However, it comes to its limit at high speed. At the brakes, BH middle class four pistons brakes by Shimano are used. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling.

Conclusion

Expirience with the BH XTEP LYNX CARBON PRO 8.7

The developers of BH have created a solid all-rounder with the XTEP LYNX CARBON PRO 8.7. Even though the E-Mountainbike reveals a weak flank with a middle ground chassis and an average brake system, it remains thanks to a good motor, a good geometry and a good range:Genetiv a widely applicable vehicle.
