Bulls Copperhead EVO 2 XXL 29” Review

The Copperhead EVO 2 XXL 29 has numerous siblings within its model family. With 120mm of travel on the fork and large 29 wheels, this version is superior to some of its Copperhead family relatives when it comes to light terrain.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. With torque under the motor cover, the support is generous. Nobody needs to fear steep hills anymore. Furthermore, the power of the motor control is regulated so that the start always feels dynamic,. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Bulls Copperhead EVO 2 XXL 29” in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (4000) .

In rough terrain, the Copperhead EVO 2 XXL 29 lacks a bit of control with its only average fork. At the brakes, Bulls middle class four pistons brakes by Shimano are used. The narrow #reifen_inch_breite Schwalbe tires do not do this EMTB's range of use any justice. In our opinion, Bulls has saved weight in the wrong place here. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Bulls Copperhead EVO 2 XXL 29”

Overall, the Copperhead EVO 2 XXL 29 is, due to a good motor, a good geometry and a great range is a good all-rounder for trips on forest roads and easy single trails. Only an average fork and a middle ground brake system slightly tarnish the otherwise successful overall picture.
