The Sonic EVO 1 750 29 is the highest quality hardtail in the model range of the Cologne-based Bulls brand. The design of the frame looks futuristic thanks to the angular lines and thus creates the perfect transition between the cheaper hardtails and the higher quality fullys.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX Smart System shows. The Bosch motor climbs steep ramps effortlessly. The very natural riding feeling combines the Bosch Performance Line CX Smart System with a dynamic power delivery. The well-tuned riding modes cater to bikers of all preferences. Whoever likes to go on long rides will be pleased with the very good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Bulls Sonic EVO 1 750 29” in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (4000) .

When the trail gets rougher, however, the comparatively poor Bulls suspension fork can quickly put the brakes on the downhill fun. The mid-range brakes from Shimano do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. The narrow #reifen_inch_breite Schwalbe tires do not do this EMTB's range of use any justice. In our opinion, Bulls has saved weight in the wrong place here. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Bulls uses average parts. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. Due to the short chainstays and the shallow seat angle , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting. Hell yeah, the geometry is killer! Here the know-how of the Bulls developers is videly visible.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Bulls Sonic EVO 1 750 29”

Overall, the Sonic EVO 1 750 29 is, due to a top-notch motor, a very good geometry and a very good range is a good all-rounder for long trips on paved paths and gentle trails. Only a weak fork and a middle ground brake system slightly tarnish the otherwise successful overall picture.
