Cannondale is one of the classic brands in the mountain bike world. Unlike many bikes without a motor, the Habit Neo 1 doesn't have any technical frills. Despite the damper being in the frame, there is still enough room for a bottle holder.
The Performance Line CX from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. No matter how steep or technical the climb is: the Bosch motor makes it conquerable! At the same time, the drive provides a very natural feeling while riding with a progressive power delivery. Achieving such a perfect balance between natural support and power is something few other engines can do. Thanks to the good range, longer tours with the Habit Neo 1 are no problem.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Cannondale Habit Neo 1 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (8000) .

Rough descents take away some of the fear thanks to the average chassis. The mid-range brakes from Magura do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Cannondale Habit Neo 1

The Habit Neo 1 is a real multitool for tours on challenging trails. Although there is still room for improvement at a mediocre chassis and a middle ground brake system. Nevertheless, with a very good handling, a good motor and a Impressive range make it a capable Trailbikes from Cannondale with a very wide range of use. The generous warranty of 25 years proves that Cannondale stands behind its products.
