Shimano motors remain at the top of the engine popularity alongside Bosch motors. No wonder, as evidenced by EP8. No matter how steep or technical the climb is: the Shimano motor makes it conquerable! At the same time, the drive provides a well-rounded feeling while riding with a gentle power delivery. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

As the hits get faster and harder the average chassis limits the downhill fun. The mid-range brakes from TRP do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. When it comes to the geometry, Cannondale does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. It's no use beating around the bush: the geometry of Cannondale doesn't suit our taste. Competitors are closer to the cutting edge here.
