The Moterra Neo 5 is not only the cheapest in the Moterra lineup of Cannondale, but also the one with the least suspension travel. With 140 mm of travel at the fork and 130 mm at the rear, it is significantly more slenderly equipped than its more expensive siblings.
Shimano motors remain at the top of the engine popularity alongside Bosch motors. No wonder, as evidenced by E7000. At steep sections, the somewhat weak Shimano motor requires a lot of initiative from the rider. The Shimano E7000 gives off a rough riding feeling. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the Moterra Neo 5 , because of its low range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Moterra 5 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (4000) .

As the hits get faster and harder the average chassis limits the downhill fun. The narrow #reifen_inch_breite WTB tires do not do this Trailbikes range of use any justice. In our opinion, Cannondale has saved weight in the wrong place here. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. Overall, the geometry does not seem to be up to date anymore. The competition is significantly more modern in this regard.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Cannondale Moterra 5

No doubt, the Moterra Neo 5 makes its older competitors look like old news. Nevertheless, as a solid climber it still has some aces up its sleeve to convince bikers who prefer to go uphill. Praise-worthy: 25 years of Warranty on the Frame!
