Cannondale Moterra Carbon LT 2 Review

Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. The Bosch motor takes away the fear of even the steepest ramps. The combination of a very well-rounded riding feeling and a dynamic power delivery characterises the Bosch Performance Line CX. Achieving such a perfect balance between natural support and power is something few other engines can do. Whoever likes to go on long rides will be pleased with the very good range.

Even nasty descents get smoothened by the good Rock Shox chassis. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. At the rear, the steel spring shock absorber provides maximum sensitivity. At the brakes, Cannondale middle class two pistons brakes by Magura are used. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. When it comes to the geometry, Cannondale does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. Oh boy, with the geometry you have to be ready to make compromises from our perspective. The most important measurements and angles fall slightly out of the grid of good bikes.
