Centurion Lhasa E R860i/R850i Review

Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. Steep ramps are no problem for the Bosch motor. Additionally, the Bosch Performance Line CX stands out with a very natural riding feeling and a progressive power delivery. The well-tuned riding modes cater to bikers of all preferences. Whoever likes to go on long rides will be pleased with the very good range.

The chassis unfortunately isn't great. Riders might lack comfort on rough terrain. Especially for heavy riders, the Centurion brakes could be a problem. With two pistons they only decelerate averagely. The components and the shifting seem less important for Centurion. The components used here have a clear potential for improvement after a view at the competitors. When it comes to the geometry, Centurion does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated.
