Centurion No Pogo E R2600i Review

Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. Also seemingly hopeless ramps the Bosch motor easily climbs up well. The Bosch Performance Line CX provides a very well-rounded riding experience with a dynamic power delivery. This great combination mixed with lots of power, is something only a few other motors at Bosch's level can achieve. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

The good Rock Shox chassis confidently dampens small and medium bumps. The mid-range brakes from Shimano do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. For additional points in downhill handling, the low bottom bracket integrates the rider well into the bike and pulls the centre of gravity down. Too steep and technical uphills are less the comfort zone of the No Pogo E R2600i. On bikes with a steeper seat angle and longer chainstays, it is much more relaxed to climb in demanding terrain. The deep bottom bracket can however lead to crank strikes in technical uphills and disrupt the climbing flow.
