The Rock Shox chassis provides safety and traction, even when the trail gets rougher. However, it comes to its limit at high speed. At the rear, the steel spring shock absorber provides maximum sensitivity. The mid-range brakes from Shimano do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Centurion uses average parts. When it comes to the geometry, Centurion does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. Furthermore, the bike lies excellent on the trail thanks to its low bottom bracket and thus low centre of gravity. Even when it gets really steep, the long chainstays will stick the front wheel to the ground. The deep bottom bracket can however lead to crank strikes in technical uphills and disrupt the climbing flow.
