Commencal META POWER TR BOSCH RIDE Review

Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. The very natural motor control and the progressive power output characterise the character of the Bosch motor. The well-tuned driving modes hit the mark. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the META POWER TR BOSCH RIDE with only an average range.

Rough descents take away some of the fear thanks to the average chassis. Especially for heavy riders, the Commencal brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. When it comes to the geometry, Commencal does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated.
