Conway eWME 5.9 MX Review

Shimano has become the biggest component manufacturer for bicycles thanks to its gear, pedal and brake components. It's clear that the Japanese want to shape the E-Bike trend from this dominant market position. The natural motor control and the gentle power output characterise the character of the Shimano motor. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

Solid endurance qualities are shown by the chassis of medium quality. Bad brakes reduce the riding pleasure. Fortunately, this is not the case with the eWME 5.9 MX. With their four pistons and 2 disc brakes the Shimano brake brakes good. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Conway uses average parts. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. Due to the short chainstays and the shallow seat angle , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting. It's no use beating around the bush: the geometry of Conway doesn't suit our taste. Competitors are closer to the cutting edge here.
