Conway Xyron S 8.9 Carbon Review

Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. Steep ramps are no problem for the Bosch motor. Additionally, the Bosch Performance Line CX stands out with a very natural riding feeling and a dynamic power delivery. The well-tuned driving modes hit the mark. Whoever likes to go on long rides will be pleased with the very good range.

Carbon frames are rather the exception in the price range of about 6500€. With the carbon fibre chassis, Conway thus sets clear accents compared to the aluminium competitors. The good Fox chassis confidently dampens small and medium bumps. Whoever wants to ride fast, needs good brakes. The Shimano brakes are equipped with four pistons and 2 millimeter rotors. That way, the premium brakes decelerate more than adequately. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Conway uses good equipment. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. Short chainstays and and a slack seat angle make the front end light in steep climbs. To keep the front wheel on the ground, you need to consciously lean forward. Overall, the geometry does not seem to be up to date anymore. The competition is significantly more modern in this regard.
