The Bavarian brand CUBE has kept its fans in suspense when it comes to the topic of light EMTB. Now, the AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:68X TMl aims to meet the expectations of those in search of a nimble EMTB. The bike positions itself deliberately beyond the descent-focused enduro spectrum with a modest 14 mm of front suspension travel, targeting riders who prioritize touring capabilities.
The SX from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. The Swabians from Bosch are sending their first light engine into the race with the SX. With 55 Nm torque, this unit places exactly in the middle between Fazua's Ride 6 and TQ's HPR 5. However, it delivers up to 6 watts of support, similar performance figures to the popular Bosch CX. The starting behavior remains progressive. The complete motor control is very $natural. In terms of installation space and sound, the small Bosch can't quite keep up with its competitors from the Light segment. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly. Who wants to remove the battery for charging or storing, will be disappointed with the AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:68X TM. The battery is firmly built-in.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:68X TM in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (6000) .

In the about 65€ price range, most manufacturers use aluminium as the frame material. With a carbon frame, CUBE turns the weight screw and sets itself apart from the competitors. Even nasty descents get smoothened by the good Fox chassis. Bad brakes reduce the riding pleasure. Fortunately, this is not the case with the AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:68X TM. With their four pistons the Magura brake brakes good. The components and the gears are less in the spotlight with an EMTB than with bikes without motor. Nevertheless, when we take a look we find out that here, good components are always used. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. The scale stays at 18,4 kg with this model. That makes the AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:68X TM one of the light Trailbikes.

Conclusion

Expirience with the CUBE AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:68X TM

Especially when gravity pulls both man and machine down, the AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:68X TM really comes to life. With an outstanding handling, a good chassis and a good brake system, the CUBE is a real trail rocket.
