Flyer was one of the first brands ever to have recognized the e-mountain bike trend. However, the Uproc6 no longer has anything in common with the forefathers of this sport. The reason: the frame design has changed fundamentally for the better.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. The Bosch motor climbs steep ramps effortlessly. The very natural riding feeling combines the Bosch Performance Line CX with a dynamic power delivery. Achieving such a perfect balance between natural support and power is something few other engines can do. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Flyer Uproc6 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (7000) .

Carbon is considered a premium material in the bike industry. In the price range about 6500€, aluminium is usually the frame material used. With the carbon frame, Flyer can clearly differentiate itself from many competitors. Rough descents take away some of the fear thanks to the average chassis. The frame on entry-level was stingy with control. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. The mid-range brakes from Shimano do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The deep bottom bracket also provides excellent cornering and thus contributes to the good handling. Due to the short chainstays and the shallow seat angle , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting. Hell yeah, the geometry is killer! Here the remarkable know-how of the Flyer developers is videly visible. We love deep bottom brackets, as long as it's going downhill. Uphill you need to be aware that the crank can sometimes hit the ground.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Flyer Uproc6

The Uproc6 isnt`t a specialist on the trail. Despite a middle ground chassis and an average brake system, it remains thanks to a top-notch geometry and a good motor a solid all-rounder with a wide range of use.
