The Jam² 6.7 is a rare piece. Instead of playing the innovation card, Focus focuses fully on durability and flexibility with their new development. The battery can be swapped out for either a 600 or 800 Wh battery. The additional option of a range extender with an extra 250 Wh keeps all possibilities open. The aluminum frame, with its smoothed welds, has a similar look to a carbon model. With 160 mm of travel on the fork, you're also ready for rough trails.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX Gen. 5 shows. No motor has shaped the EMTB boom as much as the Bosch CX. Since October 2024, the 5th generation of the Bosch Performance Line CX has been available. Compared to the previous model, the motor is especially much quieter. While you can still hear a sound when pedaling uphill, the annoying high-frequency tones have finally disappeared. The gearbox no longer rattles on the downhill trails either. With its proven performance data of 85 Nm torque and over 600 watts of peak power, the motor provides ample power, even for the steepest uphill trails. Bosch has always been a leader in motor control, and the new CX demonstrates this as well. Although it doesn't reach the extremely fine tuning of the #DJI Avinox, Bosch remains one of the best brands on the market in terms of motor control. Additionally, the motor delivers powerful support even at low cadence. Fans of XXL tours will be happy with the Jam² 6.7 due to ist excellent range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Focus Jam² 6.7 (800 Wh) in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (5000) .

The chassis unfortunately isn't great. Riders might lack comfort on rough terrain. The components and the shifting seem less important for Focus. The components used here have a clear potential for improvement after a view at the competitors. When it comes to the geometry, Focus does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Focus Jam² 6.7 (800 Wh)

A awesome range and a very good motor: Making the Jam² 6.7 overall an outstanding bike for Uphill-Flow friends. It is predestined for long tours of on extreme technical trails. Despite all the euphoria, one should also consider a weak chassis and a simple groupset in the purchase decision.
