There are few companies with such a wide E-MTB product range as Focus. The JAM² 6.9 is one of the most successful E-MTBs ever developed in Stuttgart.
The Performance Line CX Smart System from Bosch shows impressively that they shouldn't be limited to DIY and household products. With torque under the motor cover, the support is generous. Nobody needs to fear steep hills anymore. Furthermore, the power of the motor control is regulated so that the start always feels dynamic,. Whoever likes to go on long rides will be pleased with the very good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Focus JAM² 6.9 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (7000) .

The frame is simply top notch, keeping you in control even on rougher trails full of fast hard hits. Especially for heavy riders, the Focus brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. Taking a holistic approach also includes looking at the gearing and components. The components are of good qualtiy and offer no reason for criticism here. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. Also, weight is an important factor when it comes to EMTB. The JAM² 6.9 isn't exactly shining in this regard. There are lighter All Mountains on the market.

Value for money

Conclusion

Expirience with the Focus JAM² 6.9

The JAM² 6.9 is a great climber. With an excellent motor, a very good range and a good groupset, long tours in the on extreme technical trails are enjoyable. With 6 years of guarantee, nothing can go wrong in the long run.
