With slightly less travel, the Thron² 6.7 is more a touring-bike of Focus' Jam Fullys. The position of the battery in front of the motor provides a low center of gravity and thus improves the handling.
Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. The Bosch motor climbs steep ramps effortlessly. The very natural riding feeling combines the Bosch Performance Line CX with a dynamic power delivery. The well-tuned driving modes hit the mark. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the Thron² 6.7 with only an average range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Thron² 6.7 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (4000) .

The chassis unfortunately isn't great. Riders might lack comfort on rough terrain. The mid-range brakes from Shimano do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. Shifting and components still leave room for improvement. Other providers dig deeper into their pockets for these assemblies. When it comes to the geometry, Focus does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. Also, weight is an important factor when it comes to EMTB. The Thron² 6.7 isn't exactly shining in this regard. There are lighter Trailbikes on the market.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Focus Thron² 6.7

The developers of Focus have created a solid all-rounder with the Thron² 6.7. Even though the E-Mountainbike reveals a weak flank with a poor chassis and a simple groupset, it remains a widely applicable vehicle. With 6 years of guarantee, nothing can go wrong in the long run.
