Focus Thron² 6.8 Review

Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. The Bosch motor takes away the fear of even the steepest ramps. The combination of a very natural riding feeling and a progressive power delivery characterises the Bosch Performance Line CX. This great combination mixed with lots of power, is something only a few other motors at Bosch's level can achieve. Fans of XXL tours will be happy with the Thron² 6.8 due to ist excellent range.

As the hits get faster and harder the average chassis limits the downhill fun. At the brakes, Focus middle class four pistons brakes by SRAM are used. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Focus uses average parts. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar.
