The G Trail 3.0 has a carbon main frame, but still relies on aluminium for the rear triangle. This is quite common in the bike industry.
At steep sections, the somewhat weak Yamaha motor requires a lot of initiative from the rider. The Yamaha PW-ST gives off a well-rounded riding feeling. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the G Trail 3.0 with only an average range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the G Trail 3.0 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (6000) .

Even the most treacherous downhill runs are effortlessly handled by the high-end Fox chassis. The mid-range brakes from SRAM do their job but could be a bit firmer. The power of the four pistons setup is only average. Taking a holistic approach also includes looking at the gearing and components. The components are of good qualtiy and offer no reason for criticism here. The handling of the bike is pleasantly balanced due to the moderate geometry. This allows you to intuitively control the bike over the trails. Overall, the GASGAS developers have done a great job with a god geometry.

Conclusion

Expirience with the GASGAS G Trail 3.0

The G Trail 3.0 isnt`t a specialist on the trail. Despite an average motor and a mediocre brake system, it remains thanks to a very good chassis, a very good geometry and a good groupset a solid all-rounder with a wide range of use. Be careful when choosing the size: The Carbon / Alu frame sizing runs big.
