It could be the color scheme or the design; we just can't decide. But the MXC 4 is an absolute visual feast.
Sram is aiming to elevate system integration in E-Bikes to a new level with its own Eagle Powertrain engine. For this, the Americans are technically relying on hardware from the German manufacturer Brose and mainly scoring points with innovative software that completely relieves the rider of the need to shift gears through its Autoshift function. If desired, the 12 gears of the Transmission drive can still be manually shifted. As is customary with Brose motors, the Eagle Powertrain motor operates very quietly. The power development is $dynamic and the 9 Nm torque takes the fear out of even the steepest inclines. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the MXC 4 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (7000) .

In the about 7€ price range, most manufacturers use aluminium as the frame material. With a carbon frame, GASGAS turns the weight screw and sets itself apart from the competitors. Solid endurance qualities are shown by the chassis of medium quality. Especially for heavy riders, the GASGAS brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. With a high Reach value, GASGAS follows the calls of end-users for modern geometries. But the engineers don't lose sight of the remaining geometry measurements. When considering the whole picture, it must be said that the remaining geometry values very good harmonise.

Conclusion

Expirience with the GASGAS MXC 4

With a middle ground chassis and a mediocre brake system, the MXC 4 definitely has weaknesses. Nevertheless, it remains a solid all-rounder with a wide range of abilities , thanks to an outstanding motor and an extremely good geometry.
