Ghost E-RIOT EN PRO Review

Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. Also gnarly inclines the Bosch motor easily climbs up well. The Bosch Performance Line CX provides a very natural riding experience with a progressive power delivery. The well-tuned driving modes hit the mark. Thanks to the very good range, you should no longer have any range problems even on very long tours.

Even nasty descents get smoothened by the good Fox chassis. The thick 38mm stanchions on the fork provide an extra dose of steering precision and performance. At the rear, the steel spring shock absorber provides maximum sensitivity. At the brakes, Ghost instals upper class brakes with four pistons and large brake rotors from Shimano. The components and the gears are less in the spotlight with an EMTB than with bikes without motor. Nevertheless, when we take a look we find out that here, good components are always used. When it comes to the geometry, Ghost does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. Furthermore, the bike lies excellent on the trail thanks to its low bottom bracket and thus low centre of gravity. For the good geometry, the developer team of Ghost definitely deserves props. Such a knack for detail in geometry is rarely seen. The deep bottom bracket can however lead to crank strikes in technical uphills and disrupt the climbing flow.
