The Taiwanese manufacturer Giant is said to be the largest bicycle manufacturer in the world. The FATHOM E+ EX certainly benefits from the know-how that has been built up over the large numbers of bikes at Giant.
In steep sections the somewhat low torque Giant motor requires a lot of initiative from the biker. The Giant SyncDrive Sport provides a natural riding experience. The power delivery is always dynamic. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the FATHOM E+ EX [29"/SPORT/625WH] in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (4000) .

In rough terrain, the FATHOM E+ EX lacks a bit of control with its only average fork. The narrow #reifen_inch_breite Maxxis tires do not do this EMTB's range of use any justice. In our opinion, Giant has saved weight in the wrong place here. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Giant uses average parts. When it comes to the geometry, Giant does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. The view of the weight of 25,52 kg reveals: There are lighter Tourenbikes.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Giant FATHOM E+ EX [29″/SPORT/625WH]

The developers of Giant have created a solid all-rounder with the FATHOM E+ EX. Even though the E-Mountainbike reveals a weak flank with a weak brake system and an average fork, it remains thanks to a good motor and a good range:Genetiv a widely applicable vehicle. With 25 years of warranty, nothing stands in the way of a long-term relationship.
