Giant STANCE E+ 2 [29″/SPORT/500WH] Review

In steep sections the somewhat low torque Giant motor requires a lot of initiative from the biker. The Giant SyncDrive Sport provides a well-rounded riding experience. The power delivery is always progressive. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the STANCE E+ 2 500WH , because of its low range.

On rough terrain, the STANCE E+ 2 500WH with its middle ground SR Suntour chassis lacks bit of control. Especially for heavy riders, the Giant brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. The components and the shifting seem less important for Giant. The components used here have a clear potential for improvement after a view at the competitors. When it comes to the geometry, Giant does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The low bottom bracket height is a party pooper for the handling on the trail. On other bikes, you are more centrally located behind the handlebar. Overall, the geometry does not seem to be up to date anymore. The competition is significantly more modern in this regard.
