Untypical for Giant: In the STANCE E+ 2 625WH, the Taiwanese forgo the use of their proven Maestro rear end.
The Giant SyncDrive Sport is not one of the powerhouses on the market. The somewhat low torque engine could use a bit more support, especially on steep climbs. The motor control of Giant conveys a natural riding experience. The progressive power delivery is an ace up the sleeve of the SyncDrive Sport. Thanks to the good range, longer tours with the STANCE E+ 2 625WH are no problem.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Giant STANCE E+ 2 [29"/SPORT/625WH] in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (4000) .

On rough terrain, the STANCE E+ 2 625WH with its average SR Suntour chassis lacks bit of control. Especially for heavy riders, the Giant brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. The components and the shifting seem less important for Giant. The components used here have a clear potential for improvement after a view at the competitors. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. It's no use beating around the bush: the geometry of Giant doesn't suit our taste. Competitors are closer to the cutting edge here.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Giant STANCE E+ 2 [29″/SPORT/625WH]

Altogether, a good motor and a Impressive range are very fair in the price range about 4000€. The STANCE E+ 2 625WH is an all-rounder for tours even in alpine terrain with a good price-performance ratio. Through a poor chassis and a weak groupset, the overall picture is somewhat blurred. With 25 years of guarantee, nothing can go wrong in the long run.
