GT Pantera Bolt Review

Shimano has become the biggest component manufacturer for bicycles thanks to its gear, pedal and brake components. It's clear that the Japanese want to shape the E-Bike trend from this dominant market position. Steep ramps are no problem for the Shimano motor. Additionally, the Shimano EP8 stands out with a well-rounded riding feeling and a gentle power delivery. The short range unfortunately limits the tour radius quite significantly.

The good Rock Shox fork dampens small and medium bumps confidently when mountain biking. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, GT uses good equipment. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. For the good geometry, the developer team of GT definitely deserves props. Such a knack for detail in geometry is rarely seen.
