Haibike AllTrail 5 29 Review

At steep sections, the somewhat weak Yamaha motor requires a lot of initiative from the biker. The Yamaha PW-ST gives off a natural riding feeling. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

The low-grade chassis transfers shocks relatively clearly to the biker. In descending situations, the Tektro brakes require a lot of hand strength or, optionally, courage from the biker. With four pistons, they only brake poorly. Shifting and components still leave room for improvement. Other providers dig deeper into their pockets for these assemblies. When it comes to the geometry, Haibike does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. Overall, the geometry does not seem to be up to date anymore. The competition is significantly more modern in this regard. With weight, the AllTrail 5 29 is generally one of the heavier e-bikes on the market.
