Bosch is the major motor manufacturer in the EMTB world, alongside Shimano - and it's no surprise, as the Performance Line CX shows. With torque under the motor cover, the support is generous. Nobody needs to fear steep hills anymore. Furthermore, the power of the motor control is regulated so that the start always feels dynamic,. Thanks to the good range, longer tours with the AllTrail 8 27.5 are no problem.

The chassis unfortunately isn't great. Riders might lack comfort on rough terrain. Especially for heavy riders, the Haibike brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. If the Meta's chainstay length is less than 445 short wheelbase and a moderate reach value make the handling pleasantly playful. The small 27.5 inch wheels give the bike a lively character. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling. Oh boy, with the geometry you have to be ready to make compromises from our perspective. The most important measurements and angles fall slightly out of the grid of good bikes. Also, weight is an important factor when it comes to EMTB. The AllTrail 8 27.5 isn't exactly shining in this regard. There are lighter All Mountains on the market.
