Even though the design of the BESTA ROKO is generally straightforward, the cables running through the headset have to be mentioned. They make for a tidy look.
Shimano has become the biggest component manufacturer for bicycles thanks to its gear, pedal and brake components. It's clear that the Japanese want to shape the E-Bike trend from this dominant market position. The Shimano motor takes away the fear of even the steepest ramps. The combination of a well-rounded riding feeling and a harmonious power delivery characterises the Shimano EP8. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the BESTA ROKO with only an average range.

Carbon frames are rather the exception in the price range of about 5500€. With the carbon fibre chassis, Hoheacht thus sets clear accents compared to the aluminium competitors. Rough descents take away some of the fear thanks to the average chassis. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. The moderate head tube angle provides a good compromise between stability and agility when going downhill. The reach is also right there in the middle ground. The bottom bracket is high, which costs handling points. This tends to make the rider stand on the bike. On other EMTBs it feels better integrated. Due to the short chainstays , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting. It's no use beating around the bush: the geometry of Hoheacht doesn't suit our taste. Competitors are closer to the cutting edge here.
