Shimano has become the biggest component manufacturer for bicycles thanks to its gear, pedal and brake components. It's clear that the Japanese want to shape the E-Bike trend from this dominant market position. The well-rounded motor control and the gentle power output characterise the character of the Shimano motor. Whoever enjoys longer tours will be pleased with the good range.

Good damping qualities are shown through the mid-range fork. Especially for heavy riders, the Hoheacht brakes could be a problem. With four pistons they only decelerate averagely. The drivetrain and components have a subordinate but not to be neglected importance when it comes to EMTB. Even the bike brand product managers know this and don't aim too high with mostly average components. If the Meta's chainstay length is less than 445 short wheelbase and a moderate reach value make the handling pleasantly playful. The 27.5 inch wheels additionally emphasize the playful character. With a high Reach value, Hoheacht follows the calls of end-users for modern geometries. But the engineers don't lose sight of the remaining geometry measurements. When considering the whole picture, it must be said that the remaining geometry values very good harmonise. With its slim weight, the SENTO LUMO is one of the lightest EMTBs.
