Hoheacht SENTO ROKO Review

Shimano has become the biggest component manufacturer for bicycles thanks to its gear, pedal and brake components. It's clear that the Japanese want to shape the E-Bike trend from this dominant market position. The Shimano motor takes away the fear of even the steepest ramps. The combination of a well-rounded riding feeling and a gentle power delivery characterises the Shimano EP8. The average range can become a problem especially for long mountain bike rides.

The good SR Suntour fork dampens small and medium bumps confidently when mountain biking. In descending situations, the Shimano brakes require a lot of hand strength or, optionally, courage from the rider. With two pistons and small 18 brake rotors, they only brake poorly. Taking a holistic approach also includes looking at the gearing and components. The components are of good qualtiy and offer no reason for criticism here. On winding trails, the playful handling comes to the fore, as the bike masters even the fastest direction changes with the short wheelbase and the relatively short reach playfully. The 27.5 inch wheels additionally emphasize the playful character. The trend is going towards increasingly longer main frames. With a very high Reach Value, Hoheacht meets this trend. However, especially inexperienced riders must be aware that it takes a brave body effort to maneuver the SENTO ROKO.
