The hub motor and attached battery make it clear: the HEXAGON BOOST 1.0 396 is about low pricing and not about a holistic, elegant concept.
At steep sections, the rather weak Bafang motor requires a lot of initiative from the biker. The Bafang G120 gives off a digital riding feeling. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the HEXAGON BOOST 1.0 396 , because of its low range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the HEXAGON BOOST 1.0 396 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (1000) .

As the bumps become faster and harder, the poor SR Suntour suspension fork could limit the downhill fun quite soon. Especially heavy riders should be aware that the Shimano only decelerates poorly. For an EMTB , the Mitas tires with a width of #reifen_inch_breite inches are relatively narrow. In our opinion, Kross could have put on wider tires. The average shifting components and accessories leave some tuning potential open. For most e-bikers, this should be an acceptable point. When it comes to the geometry, Kross does not go completely crazy. The head tube angle and reach values were chosen with care. The result: A balanced riding behaviour with a good combination of playfulness and straight-line stability. The low bottom bracket height will likely be a sticking point for trail riders, as it negatively affects handling.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Kross HEXAGON BOOST 1.0 396

The developers of Kross have created a solid all-rounder with the HEXAGON BOOST 1.0 396. Even though the E-Mountainbike reveals a weak flank with a poor motor and a weak fork, it remains a widely applicable vehicle. Be careful when choosing the size: The Aluminium frame sizing runs small.
