Because of the standing damper, the cables must be routed through the middle of the frame triangle. Honestly: a bit impractical.
As a component giant, Shimano is mostly known for its dominant position in bicycle gears. But with the EP8, the Japanese are clearly showing that they can look beyond their own plate too. The Shimano motor climbs steep ramps effortlessly. The natural riding feeling combines the Shimano EP8 with a harmonious power delivery. Fans of XXL tours are greatly restricted by the Soil Boost 2.0 630 with only an average range.

At a glance

The most importanten ratings of the Soil Boost 2.0 630 in comparison to the competitor bikes of following categorie: (6000) .

As the hits get faster and harder the average chassis limits the downhill fun. Whoever wants to ride fast, needs good brakes. The Shimano brakes are equipped with four pistons and 2 millimeter rotors. That way, the premium brakes decelerate more than adequately. At the drivetrain components and the rest of the parts, Kross uses average parts. On winding trails, the playful handling comes to the fore, as the bike masters even the fastest direction changes with the short wheelbase playfully. The 27.5 inch wheels additionally emphasize the playful character. Furthermore, the bike lies excellent on the trail thanks to its low bottom bracket and thus low centre of gravity. Due to the short chainstays and the shallow seat angle , when climbing steep sections, it requires active weight shifting to prevent the front wheel from lifting. Of course, a low bottom bracket also has its downside. In technical uphills, the pedal can sometimes touch the ground here. However, we think: This is manageable.

Conclusion

Expirience with the Kross Soil Boost 2.0 630

The Soil Boost 2.0 630 isnt`t a specialist on the trail. Despite a weak chassis and an average groupset, it remains thanks to a very good brake system, a good motor and a good geometry a solid all-rounder with a wide range of use.
